Lawd Mouf's Bio
Coming of Age. That's the kind of story you get when you
listen to the history of this young talented artist. At 25 Lawd
Mouf has already proven his utter versatility in the art form of
hip hop, rap, R-N-B and Pop. At 14 he began writing and
performing his own raps. He fell instantly in love with the art
form, all thanks to his all time idols Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.
Pulling influences from Krayzie Bone and Bizzy Bone
specifically.
in 2001 he began working on his debut independent release, back then performing under the name $ouljah $in. He inked a verbal one album production agreement with HempNotic Sounds' Mike Bushman and instantly dropped the hit debut single "Crazy But Still Sane"
2002 saw Lawd Mouf not only change his name from $ouljah $in to Jhundi, but also launch his own publishing company in conjunction with BMI, Inc., known as Jhundi Music (BMI). Later on in that same year he hooked up with his older brother Rumzy and formed the group known as Dar War which later became Jhundeez. Jhundeez finished but never released their debut independent album "Jhundi Music" (the same album Lawd Mouf began working on in 2001).
Jhundeez was dismantled in early 2005 shortly after completing their second non released album titled "Come & Get Us", paving the way for Lawd Mouf to once again begin working on his solo efforts. Although Mouf and Rumzy continued to work with each other and on their record label Jhundi Music Records. He immediately began recording his debut solo under the new name Freddy Freakkemz, which he changed once more in early 2008. That's when he finally became known as Lawd Mouf.
Today Lawd Mouf is vigorously finishing his debut solo album now officially known as Mouf Piece. The album is expected to be released in mid to late 2009 on Mouf Piece Records/Jhundi Music Records, following the debut release of Don Cheeva.
